This Privacy Policy explains how Jonrik Mining & Engineering (“Jonrik”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). It applies to this website, jonrik.co.za, and to enquiries and job applications you send us.

1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect

• When you contact us by phone or email: your name, contact details and anything you include in your message, such as project details.
• When you apply for a job through our Careers form: your name, email address, phone number, the position you are interested in, your CV and any message you include.
• When you browse the website: our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, for security and to keep the site running.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information only to:

• respond to your enquiry and prepare quotes;
• consider your job application and contact you about suitable opportunities;
• keep this website secure and working properly; and
• comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send you marketing messages unless you have asked us to.

4. Who We Share It With

We only share personal information where it is needed to provide our services or run this website:

• our website hosting provider, which stores the website and its technical logs;
• our email service provider, through which enquiries and job applications are delivered to us; and
• Google, which provides the map shown on our Contact page.

Some of these providers, including Google, may process information on servers outside South Africa. Where this happens, we rely on providers that are subject to data protection laws or agreements offering protection comparable to POPIA.

5. How Long We Keep It

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or for as long as the law requires. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or make sure it can no longer identify you.

6. How We Protect It

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. This website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to the information you send us is limited to the people who need it.

7. Cookies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. We store a small note in your browser to remember that you have dismissed our cookie notice. The Google Map on our Contact page may set its own cookies, which are covered by Google’s privacy policy. The website login page, used only by our site administrators, uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam.

8. Your Rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

• ask whether we hold personal information about you and request a copy of it;
• ask us to correct or update information that is inaccurate or out of date;
• ask us to delete your information, where we are not required to keep it;
• object to us processing your information; and
• lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
